4 eggs, separated
3/4 cup chopped nut meats
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
Beat together the yolks and the syrup, then add the milk
and nuts. Whip the egg whites and salt until stiff. Fold the yolks into
the whites. Fill individual custard cups, place in a pan of hot water
and bake at 325 degrees until custard is firm.
